The Pitch

The start-up truckoo wanted a platform where sellers of commercial vehicles could present their vehicles and negotiate with several buyers internationally and at the same time. Together with the founders and a 6-headed development team, I was able to develop a solution as UX designer and product manager.


truckoo is the most promising start-up in the commercial vehicle market. The Munich-based company is funded by influential investors and currently creating an international infrastructure for buying and selling commercial vehicles. Together, we build a platform that generates trust in a deeply analogue industry.

1001 Truck

No idea about commercial vehicles? No problem. An intensive discussion with the founders, various stakeholders, users and competitors helped us to understand. Commercial vehicles are many times more complicated than cars and the mistrust of all parties in trading is high - the central pivot was therefore trust. Trust in the condition, the platform and the price. I can't show everything, so I will further focus on negotiating on the platform.


First, the buyer evaluates the vehicle type, condition, price and process.


After that, we generate trust in truckoo - in the platform, process and vehicle condition.


Only if steps 1 and 2 work out, the buyer will make an offer.

What now?

With truckoo, we rethought online trading and were able to launch a phenomenal MVP - hundreds of buyers now negotiate on the platform and challenge our assumptions. What works? Only in conversation with the users do we find out.
